Star! Star! (1999)
Director: Jette Müller, Andreas Schimmelbusch
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Nick Moran is Anatol, an Andy Warhol-like artist with a coterie of bohemian hangers-on, in this grotesquely pretentious study of grotesque pretension. The gimmicky direction (direct to camera address; freeze-frames; intertitles) vies for attention with over the top peformances, unspeakable dialogue, and low budget production values. Guy Ritchie looks like Orson Welles in comparison.Author: TCh
