Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Laborious sequel set in 1940 New York, with the victim of the original elaborate con (Robert Shaw, now played by Reed), out for revenge against Paul Newman and Robert Redford (now played by Gleason and Davis), but getting taken all over again. First time round, if you got bored with the endlessly twisting convolutions of the scam, there were compensations in the fancifully nostalgic settings and the host of quirky minor characters. This time you stay bored.
