Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

This fills you in on what's happened to American TV veteran Bixby since the days when he hosted My Favourite Martian. In a nutshell: his marriage (soft-focus flashback) ended when he couldn't pry a two-ton heap of flaming metal off his wife after an accident, and the trauma sent him on a 'scientific' crusade for the secret of superhuman strength. He checks out the possibilities: adrenalin? dextrose? no, you guessed it, another cinematic dose of radiation. Unfortunately, someone has been souping up the radiation equipment as well as the 'magnification' tools. So Bixby by accident becomes The Hulk, re-enacts a monster-and-little-girl scene reminiscent of James Whale's Frankenstein, and spends aeons of airtime saving a 747 jet. The moral is: two TV shows (which is what this is) do not one coherent movie make.
