Innocents in Paris (1953)
Director: Gordon Parry
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
It's national stereotyping well to the fore when assorted Brits launch themselves at Gay Paree for the weekend in this dim spot of '50s portmanteau flummery. Treasury man Sim winds up downing a few with the intransigent Russian delegate; Jimmy Edwards zeroes in on an English pub; and Harvey displays his complete lack of any comic timing as a waiter on the make. It makes TV's 'Allo, 'Allo look relatively sophisticated, but the likes of Sim and Rutherford perk it up while they're on.Author: TJ
