Rasputin and the Empress (1932)
Director: Richard Boleslawski
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The one and only time that the Barrymore family appeared together on screen, Lionel as Rasputin, Ethel as the Tsarina, John as Prince Chegodieff (ie. Youssoupoff). This curio - the subject of litigation brought against MGM by the Prince and Princess Youssoupoff, who claimed it was historically inaccurate - is often strangely dull in its depiction of the last days of the Czar's court, although one can't deny the attraction of its impressive sets and costumes.Author: GA
