From Time Out Film Guide

Standard Italian Western starring an invincible Van Cleef, armed with a battery of fancy weapons, up against an over-complicated plot and a cast that shows a lot of teeth in an unsuccessful attempt to cover up some appalling dubbing. As usual, greed and hypocrisy are the themes, and gold is the real reason for a ruthless Irishman's exploitation of the local people. Until Van Cleef rides into town, that is. He recruits his assistants from a travelling circus; lots of sleight-of-hand and acrobatics, therefore, but the rest is routine.
