Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Rightly despairing of ever landing a record deal, Los Angeles rockers The Lone Rangers infiltrate their favourite radio station with a demo tape and water pistols. Matters get out of control, and before they know it, Chazz (Fraser), Rex (Buscemi) and Pip (Sandler) are holding the entire station hostage, live on KPPX. The exposition is such a drag, it seems impossible that the movie won't improve once the hostage situation develops. But despite the presence of such worthies as Mantegna as a disillusioned DJ and McKean as the unctuous station manager, it never does. About airheads, and for them, too.
