Airport 1975 (1974)
Director: Jack Smight
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A ridiculous sequel, bad enough to be enjoyable, what with its jumbo jet crammed full of Hollywood celebs - Gloria Swanson, Myrna Loy, Sid Caesar, even Linda Blair (as a teenager being rushed to a kidney transplant) who looks like she is going to vomit over two nuns. Suddenly there is a mid-air collision, and the jumbo has grown a private two-seater aircraft like a facial wart. With the pilot blinded and the co-pilot killed, only stewardess Karen Black is left in the cockpit, until her lover Chuck Heston plays Tarzan by being lowered from a helicopter to save the day. Just routine procedure for any old airline nowadays.Author: ATu
