All the Right Moves (1983)
Director: Michael Chapman
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Passable teen/sports movie, with a youthful Tom Cruise gunning for a football scholarship to get out of the grey Pennsylvania milltown where he lives. Chapman - who is better known as a cinematographer - aims for naturalism and sometimes gets it from his young cast (Lea Thompson makes a strong impression for once), but the script draws too heavily on the crowd-pleasing tactics of An Officer and a Gentleman and its ilk to stand apart.Author: TCh
