Amongst Friends (1993)
Director: Rob Weiss
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
In the well-off Long Island suburbs of Five Towns, three teens act the musketeers of petty crime. But when a drugs bust puts one of them in jail for two years, the seeds of betrayal are sown. Writer/director Weiss's first feature attempts to relocate the themes and characters of Mean Streets to a relatively unfamiliar milieu. The bond of friendship, however, is insufficiently established to make us greatly care when it disintegrates.Author: GA
