Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

It's hard to fathom just what the makers of this low budget British film were thinking, since - for all its pillage, pustules and Lena Headey in a chastity belt - this mud-splattered revenge drama, set in plague-threatened 1348 England, doesn't deliver as an exploitation movie, and is nowhere near sophisticated enough to pass as anything else. Ian McNeice evidently does a very nice line in corpulently corrupt prelates, but there has to be something wrong with a film where the body sores are the highlight.
