Edgy, colour-saturated camerawork mark an ambitious youth-in-trouble story. It starts slow and cranks up fast to offer a delirious, if not wholly successful, fusion of faith and pharmacology. There's street level hustle aplenty in the harsh economy of the new Czech republic, as religious props hit the marketplace and blended drugs promise major release. Already fractured relationships are the major casualties in this walk on the wild side.
