Yangtse Incident (1957)
Director: Michael Anderson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This well-worn '50s actioner of the stiff-upper-lip school has Richard Todd as the Lt Commander of HMS Amethyst, a crippled British cruiser caught on the Yangtse in 1949 and narrowly escaping capture by the Chinese communist forces. Screenwriter Eric Ambler marshals the facts into the usual account of true-Brit resolve, and the production looks the part.Author: TJ
