The Knights of the Quest (2001)
Director: Pupi Avati
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The prolific veteran Pupi Avati creates films staunchly rooted in genre. What's most intriguing about this period epic, however, is that he merges northern European knighthood lore with a more Mediterranean theme: a 13th century quest for the Holy Shroud of Turin. An international cast tackle their roles with gusto, notably Furlong and Kretschmann as two of a five-strong band of knights. Lengthy and lavishly produced, with plenty of bluster, mythology, and colourfully grisly battle action.Author: AHa
