Tell Me a Riddle (1981)
Director: Lee Grant
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An elderly Midwestern couple take off across America for a last visit to their children (and aghast confrontation with dropout San Francisco). They are Russian-Jewish, which naturally means that every other image conjures a pogrom-haunted memory. And just to open the taps on the already gushing sentimentality, she (Kedrova at her most winsome) is dying of cancer. Douglas, thank God, is at least agreeably tart.Author: TM
