Ten Days Without Love (2000)
Director: Miguel Albaladejo
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Another likeable and thoughtful turn from Sergi López anchors this low key, grown-up urban love story. He's a psychiatrist in a funk brought on by his wife's elopement to Tokyo, followed by the arrival on his doorstep of her mother who's yet to hear the news, and reinforced by the procession of troublesome headcases who circulate through his office, particularly when one steals his wallet. Retrieving the wallet, however, brings him into contact with the thief's elder sister Jasmina, a sparky working-class beautician saddled with her own family burdens. Albaladejo's warm, wry, remedial comedy is princiapally a study of the transfer of affections, albeit it one broad enough to bring several other characters into its engaging fold.Author:
