That's Entertainment! III (1994)
Director: Bud Friedgen, Michael J Sheridan
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An MGM 70th anniversary 'docutainment' directed by the editors of the two previous clipfests. Since many of the famous sequences have been bagged already, this trawl through the archives is padded with out-takes, screen tests and off-screen footage. The period covered is bookended by Hollywood Revue of 1929 and Gigi (1958). Some stuff we can do without, and did: Joan Crawford dancing like a donkey as she mimes 'Two Faced Woman' for Torch Song. On the other hand, Ava Gardner's 'Can't Help Loving Dat Man', unused in Showboat, is sweet indeed. Prints have been restored and soundtracks digitally enhanced, though there's some rough editing and aspect ratios are not always respected. Minor buff's stuff, but fun.Author: WH
