Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Excellent minor Western, beautifully shot by Russell Harlan (Red River). Joel McCrea is the reluctant outlaw who robs the bank when it won't lend him the money he needs to help his father - and to show he's no ordinary thief he leaves an IOU. Charles Bickford, always a commanding screen presence, is the town's new marshal, Pat Garrett, who pursues him across the desert.
