Tigrero – A Film That Was Never Made (1994)
Director: Mika Kaurismäki
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Grizzled, cigar-chomping director Fuller returns to an Indian village in the Amazon forest - accompanied by Jarmusch, who watches over and interviews his pal and mentor - where 40 years previously he shot 16mm footage (seen briefly in Shock Corridor) in preparation for a Fox adventure drama that fell foul of insurance problems. A somewhat lackadaisical blend of anthropology, movie archaeology and character profile, held together by Jarmusch's laconic good sense and Fuller charismatic (and mercifully none too gaga) sense of fun and wonder.Author: GA
