Ladies of the Chorus (1948)
Director: Phil Karlson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Marilyn's first sizeable role came in this Columbia programme-filler, shortly before the studio scrapped her contract after only six months. Here she steps out of the chorus and into the limelight when the star walks out on a burlesque show. Mama Jergens warns her, however, to be wary of involvement with wealthy socialite Brooks. It's formula stuff, but if you've seen all the other Monroe pictures you might want to catch this one.Author: TJ
