More a mild sitcom than a political satire, since ideological breezes are conspicuously absent from the storm which brews when the Tory by-election candidate (peer's nephew and TV panellist) falls in love with his Labour rival (fishmonger's daughter and LSE student). Best moments come from Sim as a peer busily commercialising his stately home and counting the shekels.
