Les Girls (1957)
Director: George Cukor
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A delight to match that other Cukor musical, A Star Is Born. With a fine score by Cole Porter, and Kelly performing some marvellous dances, it works as a highly entertaining piece of entertainment. But there is, as in the earlier film, an interesting dramatic idea: here, it's a Rashomon-style look at the romantic accomplishments of philanderer Kelly, seen in flashback through the eyes of three women. Great photography, too, from Robert Surtees.Author: GA
