Little City (1998)
Director: Roberto Benabib
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This easy-going, believable and nicely played relationship comedy explores the process of commitment in familiar, but perfectly watchable ways. Adam (Charles) and Kevin (Bon Jovi) are good friends, but the latter's affair with the former's partner Nina (Sciorra) is just the beginning in a series of bed and heart exchanges as new arrivals, some lesbian confusions and a challenging pregnancy add spice to the brew. Bon Jovi forgoes hair for heart, Charles is well-judged and all the women - it is, after all, a great cast - deliver on mature and serious, yet lightly handled roles. Package this differently (it went straight to tape in the UK) and you could pitch it to the 'low key US indie' appreciation crowd.Author: GE
