Lost Embrace (2004)
Director: Daniel Burman
Movie review
From Time Out New York
For all of us who have tirelessly defended Woody Allen's comedies, here is a film to finally make us understand how those poor outsiders feel. Lost Embrace is a highly verbal, Jewish-themed picture, filled with warmly rendered ethnic humor and sharp turns. All good. But the movie is also Argentine, with all the mile-a-minute complaining in Spanish. á Oy vey, por favor! Unless you happen to be fluent in South American dialects and dig jokes about circumcision, you're in for a lot of breakneck subtitle reading and perhaps the feeling you've visited another planet.Author: JR
