From Time Out New York

The latest in a sorry tradition of tough guy-turned-nanny films, this action-comedy follows a Navy SEAL (Diesel) who is forced to baby-sit the offspring of a murdered government scientist while he searches their home for a valuable computer program. Presumably, playing dad to five brats softens Lieutenant Shane's rough exterior, although he doesn't seem to have much edge to begin with, aside from the tendency to croak out lines like "It's my way, no highway option." Per its title, The Pacifier will lull you to sleep.
