Movie review

From Time Out London

Schizophrenic drama featuring a fine performance from Kay Tong Lim as the dismissed dockyard security guard with dreams of emigrating to Austrlia whose alienation slowly converts his violent fantasies into real aggression. Writer-director Djinn takes his cue from the American indie scene with often impressive results: his lets his characters breathe and has a keen eye for faces and the Singaporean lowlife milieu, but the whole is too derivative, morally confused and finally just plain offensive.
