From Time Out New York

A refreshing entry in an overplayed subgenre, this delightfully perverse reinvention of the buddy comedy is equal parts Strangers on a Train, In the Company of Men and Analyze This. Pierce Brosnan has a grand old time playing a cut-rate James Bond, a tacky terror who's more likely to bang blowsy waitresses than supermodels. Under most circumstances, this mustachioed assassin would completely eclipse a character like depressive businessman Danny Wright (Kinnear), also in Mexico on business. But in the assured hands of writer-director Richard Shepard, what results is an unlikely character study laden with skillful plot twists.
