Movie review

From Time Out New York

Dear Fox: Do you think we comic-book readers will just lap up any superhero film? We’re grateful for the first two X-Men movies, but this Fantastic Four sequel is even more insulting than the lowest-common-denominator original: The performances are plywooden, the cornball visual gags are groanworthy, and Tim Story still can’t direct his way out a sack with a map. Even the fan-fave Silver Surfer (Jones) becomes nothing but a generic clusterfuck of messy CGI pixels. But who cares when it’s all about the opening-weekend grosses, right? Right?
