Movie review

From Time Out New York

Total sand trap. When this flick’s snobs-versus-slobs premise debuted in the magnificently crude Caddyshack 27 years ago, it didn’t have to bear the weight of a race corrective. Here, the balance is all off, veering from fart jokes to inspirational bombast that we’re supposed to take seriously. OutKast’s Antwan “Big Boi” Patton, playing a heroic Diddy-like mogul, remains a boring lead, though comedian Faizon Love does zany extremely well. A few visual jokes, like a golf cart pimped out with rims, may keep you from slitting your wrists.
