From Time Out New York

Randy Daytona (Fogler), a washed-up Ping-Pong prodigy with an affinity for Def Leppard, embarks on a quest to help the FBI put the screws to Triad kingpin Mr. Feng (Walken) and, by extension, avenge his father’s murder. The government uses Randy’s rarefied skill set to infiltrate Feng’s remote island fortress, where each year this enigmatic malefactor hosts an Enter the Dragon–style table-tennis tournament. Predictably absurd, Balls of Fury employs enough comedic talent—Diedrich Bader is brilliant as Feng’s sex slave—to make all the lame spoofing translate into some legitimate laughs.
