Grace Is Gone (2007)
Director: James C. Strouse
Movie review
From Time Out New York
A bloodsucking baby, its bloodthirsty mother (Ladd) and one kooky granny (Rose) bent on resuming the glory days of breast-feeding: Welcome to Lamaze for lunatics. Paul Solet’s gyno-horror flick is certainly twisted but only slightly unnerving; the movie is about as gripping as one might expect given that its infant monster is both mute and cradle-bound. Some Sundance pundits were enthralled by the maternal subversion, but once the new mom goes nuts after being light-headed from losing so much type O, it’s clear there’s no third act in sight.Author: S.
