Feel the Noise (2007)
Director: Alejandro Chomski
Movie review
From Time Out New York
When Rob (Grandberry), an aspiring rapper from Harlem, is caught stealing the shiny new rims from a local gangster’s ride, he is forced to flee for his life—to Puerto Rico and his estranged father. There he meets a dancer named C.C. (Henao) and his half brother, Javi (Rasuk). Together, they mix the complementary elements of hip-hop and reggaetón to form something new and crazy hot. Feel the Noise may be the latest uplifting addition to a long and storied line of cross-cultural cinematic atrocities, but it does impart an important lesson about respecting other people’s property.Author: Drew Toal
