Synopsis

‘Scary Movie’ duo Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer return with this spoof, filmed supposedly on the set of ‘300’, which parodies, amongst other notable productions, ‘The Matrix’, ‘Ugly Betty’, ‘The Departed’, ‘Anchorman’, ‘Deal or No Deal’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, and unsurprisingly, ‘300’ itself. Watch out for humorous ‘appearances’ from Britney Spears and President Bush.

Movie review

From Time Out New York

Much was made of the gay subtext in last year’s 300. Honestly, though, what was the big deal? Actual Spartan warriors reportedly engaged in tons of sweaty man-love in between bouts of brutally killing stuff—it was the Spartan way. The gay jokes are as numerous as the sun-blotting Persian arrows in this harebrained spoof that features dance-offs, hot-in-the-’90s Carmen Electra, lots of bad topical jokes and an awesome former C-list television star: Kevin Sorbo. The film’s finest moment occurs when Captain (Sorbo) exclaims, “I’m gonna go Hercules on his ass.” Ugh.
