College Road Trip (2008)
Director: Roger Kumble
Movie review
From Time Out New York
An Illinois cop (Martin), obsessively overprotective of his college-bound baby (Raven-Symoné), is pushing for matriculation at nearby Northwestern. But when faraway Georgetown wins her heart, Dad packs up the SUV and tries to change her mind on the drive there. Cacophonous slapstick and push-button treacle define this shrill attempt at a G-rated family comedy, in which clever plot points and well-earned emotion are given short shrift in the face of Taser gags and a caffeinated pig.Author: Stephen Garrett
