No one ever said being a delivery guy was easy. Ming (Jang) owes a smuggling debt to some unsavory criminal types, and he has only one day to get the money. Take Out is a sweet-and-sour look at the immigrant experience; most of the film follows Ming as he delivers Chinese food by bike around the city to various uncouth Americans. Most of them care only about the speedy transport of their shrimp lo mein, and none stop to consider that this low-level dumpling courier is desperately trying to save his skin. It makes one proud to be a decent tipper.Author: Drew Toal
