Movie review

From Time Out New York

A victim of its own bad timing, Craig M. Saavedra’s buddy-comedy-cum-road-trip-flick might’ve had a chance back before the world started going to hell; these days, whimsical life lessons played out against pristine bourgie backdrops are about as useful as a 401k account. Uptight Ivy Leaguer Sherman Black (Shulman) dogs a girlfriend from Gotham to the Golden State, where he ends up hitching a ride from a washed-up ski pro (LeGros). Sherman’s Way is predictable quirk à la Northern Exposure by way of Sideways, but it’s pretty to look at and spiritedly played.
