Movie review

From Time Out New York

Not quite the exposé of Ivy League secret-society nefariousness its plot summary suggests, Alan Hruska’s talky ensemble piece brings together the members of one such organization 20 years after graduation for a midlife check-in. Unsurprisingly, while the former classmates have generally made good on their collegiate “best and brightest” label, there are regrets, misgivings and resentments to spare. As well versed in these characters and their milieu as Hruska may be, their dilemmas seem guessed-at rather than lived.
