Movie review
From Time Out New York
At the start of this World War II period piece, Lt. Mike Clarke (Keegan) makes an ill-advised bet with the nephew of Al Capone that he can become an ace fighter pilot (five confirmed kills) by the end of the war. The chances of Clarke winning, though, grow remote after he crashes his plane in neutral, rural Ireland, alongside his copilot, Twickers (O’Conor). Let’s just say that it will take many Guinnesses to get over the stilted awfulness of this nonsensical ode to the Emerald Isle. Many Guinnesses.Author: Drew Toal

I haven't seen this film, yet, but feel it safe to say that this inappropriate tiresome paddy whackery has no place, no market, and no future. Does anyone know if the Irish Film Board put money into this? Honestly, if this had been made 10 or 15 years ago maybe one could understand regressive stereotypes aimed at an American market, but how can they think an American audience is not put off by this, let alone an Irish one?
