Movie review

From Time Out New York

Some fights are over before they begin (Mike Tyson vs. Carl “The Truth” Williams?), and spectators to such abbreviated debacles are left wishing they had seen more of a drawn-out slugfest. This movie starring WWE bruiser John Cena, however, is not one of those bouts. Detective Danny Fisher (Cena) gets on the wrong side of an Irish arms dealer (Gillen), and what ensues bears no relation to the wrestler’s day job—just a graceless scrap between a Die Hard flick and the public-transportation mayhem of Speed. Worse, there’s no referee
here to stop the merciless smackdown on the audience.
