From Time Out New York

How charming is Ashton Kutcher? The answer has a direct bearing on your enjoyment of Spread, an ego-massaging vehicle for the partyhopping Angeleno that, for its first half, feels like an extended episode of his ad campaign for Canon Coolpix. As a smug, penniless gigolo who trades sex for food and lodging—until he inevitably falls for his female equivalent (Levieva)—Kutcher, with director David Mackenize (Young Adam), lamely tries to update Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the Twitter set. Too bad Truman Capote’s not around for rewrites.
