Movie review

From Time Out Online

French Algerian director Bouchareb has followed ‘Days of Glory’ with this drama about two worried parents – one British (Blethyn), one West African (Kouyaté) – who meet in London during the search for their respective children after the 2005 bombings on the Underground. It’s always interesting to follow a fresh eye in our city, but the writing is schematic, Blethyn’s performance is uncontrolled and Bouchareb is negligent with the film’s sense of time and place – a misstep that will alienate more viewers at a London film festival than it did earlier this year at Berlin, where it was received reasonably warmly.
