Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

The cinema's leading chronicler of gypsy life bounces back from the disastrous Children of the Stork with an infectiously exuberant film set amid Andalusia's flamenco culture. A clumsy mix of suspense (a lackadaisical plot about the vendettas of two clans) and semi-documentary dance musical, it gets by on authentic observations of Spain's macho, belligerent, proud and vibrant Rom culture and on magnificent music, which embraces Asian and North African fare.
