Vice Squad (1981)
Director: Gary A Sherman
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Sadistic pimp (Hauser) beats LA prostitute to death; her friend (Hubley) collaborates with police to trap him; he escapes and seeks murderous revenge. Apart from a marginally more lurid approach to sex and violence, this could be any old episode from any old TV cop series, right down to the appalling sub-disco score. There's also a pretty insulting opening which reveals that (gasp) prostitutes have feelings too.Author: DP
