Vice Versa (1947)
Director: Peter Ustinov
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Ustinov was in his mid-20s when he wrote and directed this sparkling comedy about a Victorian businessman (Livesey) who ends up trapped in his young son's body after meddling with a magical Indian gem. (The son, a very cheeky Anthony Newley, takes over his father's body.) A sort of cross between the Arabian Nights and a Whitehall farce, it's every bit as funny as Penny Marshall's Big, made from a similar premise 40 years later.Author: GM
