Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Exceedingly dull porno version of de Sade's Justine, which half-heartedly strives for respectability. To prove that they're performing a classic, no one says one word when ten will do, and the film kicks off with a mini-documentary on de Sade's life and times, concluding with the cheeky suggestion that the whole is designed as a stiff warning against 'unbridled perversity'. But there's nothing unbridled about the perversity on display: as the pure-in-heart heroine, the strapping Alice Arno receives the most routine chastisements before being charmingly struck down by a lightning flash obviously borrowed from one of Corman's Poe adaptations.
