Viva Las Vegas (1963)
Director: George Sidney
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Thin even by Presley standards, this has him as a racing driver yearning to win the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and filling in as a singing waiter while Ann-Margret revs her chassis at him. Directed with lethargic brashness, it matches the gaudy vulgarity of Las Vegas pretty well. There's a generous quota of songs, pretty unimaginatively staged apart from an impromptu rendering of 'The Yellow Rose of Texas'.Author: TM
