Neither Fish, Nor Fowl (2002)
Director: Matthias Keilich
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
In this culture clash drama, a Korean slacker musician, brought up by adoptive parents in the Black Forest and considering himself Deutsch first and foremost, discovers 'real' Koreans when he moves to Berlin. Love and confusion follow. German cinema is looking increasingly to its immigrant communities for tales of the changing nation and this laidback drifting tale is a workmanlike addition to the trend. Well-intentioned but not didactic, and with a certain low key charm.Author: GE
