Night at the Golden Eagle (2001)
Director: Adam Rifkin
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Watchable but overflashy and cynical fable. An elderly criminal gets out of prison, is told by his best buddy that they should go to Vegas and turn straight, but blows it by falling for temptation in the form of a young whore he invites to his room, which causes things to get very messy. The characters are relentlessly lowlife and/or eccentric (including Jones as a pimp, and Sam Moore and one of the Nicholas Bros cameoing as hotel guests), the camerawork and cutting are redundantly emphatic, and the treatment of the whore quite callous. Guy Ritchie might like it.Author: GA
