Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Candidate for the prettiest pic ever award. A lyrical elegy about a circus tightrope walker and a soldier who elope in 19th century Sweden, and eventually commit suicide. Beautifully photographed and set to a Mozart piano concerto; you may be enchanted by it if you don't laugh yourself sick.

Posted on Oct 15 2010 03:42 I wonder where this 1967 reviewer grew up? Southside Chicago? This is a beautiful film (not movie, which I doubt the reviewer understands), poigant, well conceived and executed, and timeless in its relevance to human nature and relations. If you're 12 you might miss that.
