Eric Clapton and His Rolling Hotel (1980)
Director: Rex Pyke
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The Rolling Hotel, which carried the Clapton entourage on their 1979 European tour, is a luxury train originally built by Goering and usually reserved for the German chancellor. On board, and on various European stages, Pyke shot what, surprisingly, was the first documentary footage about this veteran rock guitarist. The film gives space to the man as well as his music, and treats his talents with the seriousness they deserve.Author: SWo
